How NOT To Broadcast Wrong Content On The LED Screen

Wrong Content I received a smart question from one of you (via the yellow note on the right menu of this blog) that points out one of the features of our EDX software for ads scheduling on the LED screen. Here is the question:

"It was said that in real-time mode you can see practically all, even the mouse pointer. So, if you do something wrong or something that was not meant to be played shows on your PC screen, would that be visible on LED boards? Or could you prevent this with some program or something like a control panel, that gives you an option whether you want to be visible on LED screen or not?"

First of all, I confirm that the LED screen visualizes in real-time anything that is displayed on the PC monitor: CDs, DVDs, Movies, Satellite, TV and even the mouse pointer.

This is how our system works: it captures an area of the PC monitor and it shows it on the LED screen. Once the capture area is defined, anything visualized within this window will be broadcasted on the giant screen (see image below).

Our EDX software will visualize your playlist (with all the ads of your Customers) exactly within that window. So how can you avoid displaying something by mistake? Good question, easy answer. In order to prevent this situation, we implemented a function called "Window On Top" that you can select with one single click.

With this function, it doesn't matter if you make any mistake (i.e. open the wrong file, move an icon etc) because the EDX player window will always be visualized "On Top" of anything else. So your audience will never see what you are doing.

On the other side, if you want, you can uncheck the "On Top" function and decide to show in real-time ANYTHING going on the PC monitor. Our goal is to give you maximum flexibility and put as little limitations as possible.

Just one last clarification: the use of our EDX scheduling software is NOT mandatory. You can use any player you want! But in EDX we implemented some functions targeted for the LED screen advertising business that you may not find in other softwares.
