A question that I'm increasingly being asked about is "Are Chinese LED screens and companies reliable?".
Their considerably lower cost represents an opportunity that is surely worth considering. But it is difficult for me to answer this question without resulting biest, so I decided to ask our audience what's their direct experience.
If you already purchased a Chinese or Asian LED screen, please let us know your feedback and share your positive/negative experience with us. We would like to know:
- Type of screen that you bought
Is it for indoor or outdoor use? Is it used for advertising, rental or sport?
- Feedback on the screen after the installation
Are you happy with it? Did you experience any particular problem or benefit?
- Your experience with the company, before and after the sale
Are they professional and reliable? Are they being supportive after the purchase as much as they were before?

Asking how much a LED screen cost, is like asking how much a car cost. Such kind of questions can only have one answer. It depends. On all the following 5 variables:
1- SIZE: do you need a Smart Car or a BMW X5 (i.e. what are the dimensions of the LED screen you want to install?)
2- POWER: do you want to drive it at race circuits or you need it just to do the grocery? (i.e. what's the resolution of the LED screen?). Note for beginners: resolution = distance between the pixels: the closer they are, the better is the image at shorter viewing distances.
3- RELIABILITY: premium car brands use premium materials and are therefore able to provide longer warranties (i.e. so do LED screens' manufactures)

As we can very well understand from the question of the past article, if you live in a Country were there is not a precise law regulating the installation of LED screens, than submitting the proposal can be very frustrating. Without a national law, each City Hall decides at its own judgment to give or not the permit, therefore you don't know what the rules of the game are.
By directly managing a Giant LED Display nearby Turin, we lived on our skin this frustration and we have heard any kind of story from our customers. As a result we now have a little experience in dealing with the City Halls, and we developed what we think is the best way to submit your request.
More detailed information are provided in our Ad-Vantage Training Program© (reserved to our Customers) but here's a list of what you have to do to increase your chances to get the authorization:

"In 2006 I submitted to my City Hall the request for the installation of a led screen, but it was refused. So how is possible that in other cities nearby there are screens installed?"
Dear Francis, thanks for highlighting another key aspect for the installation of a LED screen: the authorization. Before answering your question, let me clarify one thing:
In most European countries (and worldwide) getting the permission for the LED screen installation is the first (and not always easy) step. Fullcolor LED Giant Screens are still a pretty new technology (they have been around for about 10 years) and in most countries they haven't been precisely regulated by law. As a result, there is not a uniformed way to deal with such requests. Most of the time, there is not even a standard form valid for the entire country.
Such "hole" in the regulation system is therefore filled by each City Hall's judgement, according to their approach towards new businesses and new technologies (obstructive or cooperative).

Yesterday I went to a live concert. The "Delle Alpi" Stadium was so full that it couldn't hold all the people that would have liked to attend the show. For safety reasons the authorities rented 5 Mobile LED Screens that were parked in different strategic spots nearby the stadium.
Once I entered the stadium, I tried to gain my space in the crowd. After half-hour I still couldn't find a position from where I could see the stage.
Even when I finally found a decent place, I couldn't really see the stage very much... Luckily there were other 2 LED Screens (for entertainment) that allowed me and other 80.000 people to enjoy the show.
