Chinese LED Screen Manufacturer Vs. Customer: Round #1

Print|Email|Add Your Comment

It seems that a large number of readers are interested in the Chinese LED Screens debate going on the blog these days. So today I'd like to publish the contrasting opinions sent by two of you.

From Tom (no email address available)

It's possible to find reliable LED manufacturer in china! They force all other to low the price and it's good!

Reliable china companies buy LEDs from same manufacturers like others with trusted brands so don't believe in "BAD" china companies - they are like all others in the world  - you can find reliable and not.

From Juan Carlos (email address available)

We have two Korean LEDs screens from [brand name], the been a problem since we give money to the sales man, the screens arrived weeks late, the technicians did not know how to setup them and burned the power supplies and boards, scratched the screens while carrying them.

Is a LED Screen in Eastern Europe a Good Investment?

Print|Email|Add Your Comment

Here's two questions about LED screens I received from one of you.

First Question: "Do you think Outdoor LED Billboard walls can be profitable investment in countries with lower economic power (i.e. Eastern EU)? [...] Some Chinese displays installed here showed as bad investment (weak customer interest)."

Second Question: "When do you think LED display technology will be suitable to substitute citylight static displays (2x1 m). We need to take into consider robustness of display since vandals can reach installations easily, for example?"

These questions are both very interesting and reveal a deeper than average understanding of the technology and the industry.

My answer to the first question is: yes, I believe LED screens can be a profitable investment even in emerging countries. Actually these countries are among the best places for an LED screen.

Infact, usually emerging countries have a strong capitalist attitude that makes advertising a powerful tool. One great example for what I'm saying is the LED screen we installed in the Dominican Republic (a country with very low economic power).

What Everybody Ought to Know About The LEDwalls' Cooling System

Print|Email|Add Your Comment

Another good question asked by one of the readers. If you have more questions about LEDwalls, please send them to me via the yellow note on the right menu, and I'll answer in my next posts.

"As temperature of environment are getting from year to year more extreme (especially in summer) and most LED screens are made to let say -20°C to +45°C, how will they tolerate or react to hotter environment or colder if weather gets to this point (less than -20°C or more than +45°C)? Thanks."

Lower temperatures are not a problem for the LEDwall. Actually the coldest the weather, the best for the LED display. In fact, even when the screen is in stand-by mode (like a television), inside the cabinet there will be a micro-climate determined by the electronic components (e.g. LEDs, power supply, etc), that keeps the temperature constantly over 0° C.

Did You Buy A Chinese LED Screen?

Print|Email|Add Your Comment

did-you-buy-a-chinese-led-screenA question that I'm increasingly being asked about is "Are Chinese LED screens and companies reliable?".

Their considerably lower cost represents an opportunity that is surely worth considering. But it is difficult for me to answer this question without resulting biest, so I decided to ask our audience what's their direct experience.

If you already purchased a Chinese or Asian LED screen, please let us know your feedback and share your positive/negative experience with us. We would like to know:

  • Type of screen that you bought
Is it for indoor or outdoor use? Is it used for advertising, rental or sport?
  • Feedback on the screen after the installation
Are you happy with it? Did you experience any particular problem or benefit?
  • Your experience with the company, before and after the sale
Are they professional and reliable? Are they being supportive after the purchase as much as they were before?

To share your experience, please leave a comment by CLICKING HERE or write me an email at the following email address:

4 Reasons For LED Screens' Pride

Print|Email|Add Your Comment

PrideYesterday I went to a live concert. The "Delle Alpi" Stadium was so full that it couldn't hold all the people that would have liked to attend the show. For safety reasons the authorities rented 5 Mobile LED Screens that were parked in different strategic spots nearby the stadium.

Once I entered the stadium, I tried to gain my space in the crowd. After half-hour I still couldn't find a position from where I could see the stage.

Even when I finally found a decent place, I couldn't really see the stage very much... Luckily there were other 2 LED Screens (for entertainment) that allowed me and other 80.000 people to enjoy the show.
